The Audience Data Analyst will work with stakeholders across the company to conceptualize, execute, and report on data research projects that help Inman improve customer acquisition, conversion and retention metrics for our subscription editorial product and best-in-class events.

Experience

  • 3 or more years of hands-on experience working with data & analytics to deliver analysis and insight

  • Experience with growth marketing analytics and subscription business metrics: trials, churn, winbacks, lifecycle marketing, CAC, LTV, etc

  • Expertise with SQL and ETL processes for relational databases and data warehouses

  • Experience with Presto a plus

  • Expertise with Excel and Google Sheets

  • Working knowledge of Python / R a plus

  • Comfortable working with both structured and unstructured quantitative and qualitative data

  • Building dashboards in visualization tools such as Google Data Studio

  • Experience with Google Analytics a plus

Responsibilities

  • Seeking actionable insights about Inman's audience through data

  • Identifying and measuring our current and expansion market opportunities

  • Helping to drive growth and conversion of our audience, both through your own research initiatives and by providing decision support for stakeholders across the company

  • Developing a detailed understanding of our customer lifecycle

  • Presenting data-driven conclusions clearly, and helping to put data in context for strategy makers

  • Performing a gap assessment of current analytics practices

  • Helping to make data more available and actionable throughout the company

  • Ensuring the correctness of our data measurement

  • Ensuring our compliance with data privacy and protection standards

  • Disseminating analytics expertise throughout the company
